- The Pop-Up Alarm Clock from Bellsoft, Inc. (POPALARM.EXE) claims to
- allow two modes of operation for all functions:
-
- 1. After setting up the Alarm Clock, using Alt-A to enter
- alarm times, new configurations, etc.
-
- 2. Enter alarm times, etc. WHILE setting up the Alarm Clock,
- by typing the options on the command line after POPALARM.
-
- However, the "timed feed" option cannot be invoked from the command
- line because it requires a carriage return within the feed string. The
- documentation does not offer any way to insert a carriage return in the
- command line.
-
- To set up a timed feed when invoking the POPALARM program, set up the
- following file called (for example) AUTOFEED.POP:
-
- f=3:00 "command (Note how each command is
- command2 followed by a carriage
- " return.)
-
- Then set up the Alarm Clock by typing:
-
- POPALARM @AUTOFEED.POP
-
- The Alarm Clock will now include your timed feed string, complete with
- carriage returns.
-
- When I set up the Alarm Clock, I use a batch file with the following
- lines:
-
- popalarm l=tr d=h b=o (Sets up options.)
- popalarm @autofeed.pop (Sets up timed feed.)
-
-
- --BUGFIND: Edward Fischer
- --BUGFIX: Roy Harper
- .)
- popalarm @autofe
